Parkour, Freerunning
or Stunt Work?

Three words for related but different briefs. Knowing which one you need makes casting faster.

Parkour is efficient, purposeful movement from A to B: vaults, precision jumps, cat leaps, wall runs and climbing, performed with control and flow through real environments. Freerunning grew out of parkour and adds flips, spins and aerial acrobatics, so it reads as more visually expressive on camera and suits commercials, live shows and brand activations. Most of our athletes are trained in both, and several also work as stunt performers on film and TV. If your brief is stunt classified, say so at enquiry stage and we will put forward athletes with screen stunt credits through our parkour stunt performers page.

Our UK-based athletes are in London, Bristol, Brighton and Glasgow, and all travel nationally, so a shoot in Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham or Cardiff is straightforward. Every UK-based athlete holds public liability insurance and arrives with the documentation a production or venue expects. Planning a live booking? Authentic urban action

Real parkour movement gives chase sequences, rooftop work and dynamic urban environments an authenticity that wires and CGI cannot fake. Genuine flow and environment expertise read on camera.

Technical precision

Parkour demands control and accuracy. Precision jumps, wall runs and vaults are executed to technique, which translates into reliable, repeatable takes on set without compromising safety.

Low-wire capability

Athletes trained in safety work can perform at height and across complex environments with minimal or no wire assistance, which reduces VFX spend and keeps the movement real in frame.

Common Questions

Hiring a Parkour Performer
FAQs

New to booking movement talent? Start with our guides: Why Hire a Parkour Performer?, How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Parkour Performer? and How to Book a Parkour Performer for a TV Commercial.

How do I hire a parkour performer for my project?

Contact Movement Management through our booking enquiry form with your project details, including dates, location, type of production, and any specific movement requirements. We respond within 24 hours to recommend the right athlete and begin the booking process. We handle all contracts, logistics, and on-set coordination.

What can a professional parkour performer do?

A professional parkour performer can act as stunt performer or double in film and TV, star in commercial and advertising campaigns, deliver live performances at events and brand activations, provide movement direction on set, and create high-impact content for digital and social campaigns. Our athletes bring 10 to 15 years of professional experience to every booking.

How much does it cost to hire a parkour performer?

Rates depend on the project type, duration, usage rights, and the athlete. Contact us with your project details and budget, and we will recommend the best match and provide transparent pricing. We never charge booking fees to clients.

Are your parkour performers based in the UK?

Movement Management has UK-based parkour performers in London, Bristol, Brighton, and Glasgow, all available for immediate domestic bookings. We also represent international athletes across eight countries who are available for UK and international productions.

Can I hire multiple parkour performers for one project?

Yes. We supply individual athletes, pairs, or full performance teams. Multi-athlete bookings are available for large-scale brand campaigns, live events, and film productions requiring a team of parkour performers. Contact us to discuss your requirements. Not sure which fits? Read parkour team or solo performer: which to book.

What is the difference between parkour and freerunning?

Parkour focuses on efficient movement from A to B: vaults, precision jumps, cat leaps, wall runs and climbing. Freerunning grew out of parkour and adds flips, spins and aerial acrobatics, so it reads as more visually expressive on camera and suits commercials, live shows and brand activations. Most of our athletes are trained in both, and several also work as stunt performers on film and TV. More on how this affects casting: freerunning vs parkour, why it matters for casting.

Are your parkour performers available outside London?

Yes. We have athletes based in London, Bristol, Brighton and Glasgow, and all travel nationally. Shoots in Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham or Cardiff are routine, and travel and logistics are confirmed as part of the booking.

Do you provide insurance documentation and risk assessments?

Our athletes arrive with their insurance documentation, including public liability cover for their work, and can provide proof of training and safety protocols on request. On risk assessment, the athlete contributes their own capabilities, limits and standard controls, but responsibility for making sure a documented assessment exists sits with the producer, event organiser or venue, and it is usually written with a health and safety adviser or stunt coordinator. Note that standard film production and event insurance commonly excludes stunt work and hazardous performance, so confirm with your broker that your policy covers it before booking. Full detail in our guide to parkour performance insurance and risk assessment.

What details do you need in order to quote?

Project type (commercial, film, live event or social content), shoot dates and locations, the scope of movement, the usage scope (where and how long the footage will run), rehearsal needs, the number of performers, and any special requirements. With that we build a single proposal covering day rate, prep and rehearsal, usage, travel and insurance. See what affects the cost of hiring a parkour performer.

How much lead time do you need to book a parkour performer?

As a planning guide: social content typically needs one to two weeks, broadcast commercials four to six weeks, one-off brand activations and live events four to six weeks (festival circuits and stunt shows two to four months), and feature film or television work eight to twelve weeks. Shorter timelines are possible on an expedited basis. Full breakdown in our guide to booking lead times for movement talent.
